Moby Legacy, which like Moby Fantasy has the blue whale on its side, has left China. Over the next few days, it will cross two oceans to reach the Mediterranean, where it will enter service on the Livorno-Olbia route. With a length of 237 meters, a width of 32 meters and a gross tonnage of 69,500 tons, Moby Legacy, together with Moby Fantasy, is one of the largest passenger ferries ever built in the world, with a capacity of 3,000 passengers and 3,850 linear meters of cargo space.
These new vessels have been designed to the highest standards of sustainability, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technologies aimed at protecting the environment and the energy transition, with the aim of reducing emissions as much as possible.
Moby Legacy and Moby Fantasy are the first ferries to be EEDI3 certified compared to conventional vessels operating on similar routes.
